1) Installation of traffic signals at all intersections on business
corridors
2) Parking garages to encourage shopping within district
3) Increased street cleaning
4) Removal of items from sidewalks within 24 hours
5) Removal of graffiti from city property within 24 hours
6) Increased planting of trees
7) Installation of piping to supply reclaimed water for cleaning sidewalks, garbage cans , and also watering of plants
8) Require garbage provider to provide lock for all cans (to limit removal of recyclables and prevent garbage from spilling into streets)
9) Require police to follow the same traffic and parking rules we are required to observe during non-emergencies
10) Require a 10 year plan that requires all roads and sidewalks to be replaced every 10 years
11) Better management and reallocation of the limited resources we have
12) Have available meeting times with residents and businesses within the Richmond District at set days each week
13) Replacement of burned out street lighting within 48 hours
14) Implement a plant that would require the city to allocate 1/10 funds needed to replace and maintain all city playgrounds-ensuring that playgrounds are replaced every 10 years to meet current safety standards
15) Move bus stops along Geary Blvd to center median and replace left turn lanes with bus stops. This would accomplish:
-Additional parking spaces
-Eliminate bust delays due to double parking
-No reduction of traffic lanes
-No disruption to neighborhood businesses
-More efficient traffic flow since buses do not have to constantly enter traffic
